Commission E Legislator Proposes Additional Sea Ambulance

Jakarta City Council's Commission E Secretary, Justin Adrian suggested Health Agency to add sea ambulance as an effort to give optimal health service for Seribu Island.

There is only one sea ambulance for Seribu Island

Justin said that this sea ambulance is needed so that health service coverage in the island region can be evenly distributed.

"I think sea ambulance in Seribu Island needs to be added up," he said, Tuesday (11/19).

He appealed that the Jakarta Health Agency to conduct a study on the need for sea ambulances in the Seribu Island. So that the community can get health services quickly.

Justin added this year's Health Agency budget proposal is Rp 10 trillion and to be allocated for thousands of items.

"The agency may propose the sea ambulance budget next year if this year's budget is not enough," he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Health Agency Head, Ani Ruspitawati said her side will re-count the need of sea ambulance in Seribu Island.

"There is only one sea ambulance for Seribu Island," she said.

Ani ensured that the health facilities are sufficient for the people in the Seribu Island. In addition, the RSUD is also equipped with specialist doctors, there is also a health post that provides services up to 24 hours.
